"Our minds are like cooking pots, waiting to be filled with joyous ingredients to make the perfect soup."Our mind starts out as an empty pot with no ingredients--we have no idea yet. As we taste other people’s soup, we gain an ingredient to add onto our own pot of soup. The pot itself is represented by our stylistic choices, we learn to build off of them by trying things out. I go by this analogy to help me by looking at art as a way of learning and experimenting the things we don't always draw consistently. I spend most of my time looking at key aspects of other people’s art and use it as a learning experience to improve myself. In the future, I feel that working with others expands my ideas and creativity.My name is Eden, I'm an African American from Chicago, Illnois who has been an artist for 11 years. I am currently 18-years old, and experienced with my art style.In second grade, I was inspired to draw a wolf for a project. I loved how my first ever drawing came out in the end and shared it with the class. I was very shy to share at first, but they loved it, even my teacher thought I could potentially be an artist when I grew up. My teacher and classmates were the first to inspire me to pursue art as a career. 2D Animation has been one of my interests the most because of how it is processed with the layers of work creating a masterpiece.Throughout the years, I have learned to work with a variety of tools when it comes to my art. Flawlessly creating layers of texture with a glowing aura, captivating the eyes of others, with a vibrant atmosphere in every art piece. I’ve learned to be persistent if it doesn’t seem right at the moment. My art is mostly involved with anthropomorphic animals. The reason why I love drawing them so much is because there are different species and a whole variety of different colors I could use with designing a unique character.My goal as an artist is to create work that is more expressive, reflects deeper concepts and art with depicted scenarios. My plan is to pursue a formal art degree that will allow me to delve further into studying 2D Animation. I wish for more experience with storytelling and concept, which I find very interesting about the character’s background. As a future art career, I would love to work with a collaborative to expand on ideas.
